I also saw bunnies on my street. Again! Two of them! It was dark by that time, though, so this is the best picture I got.
House Bill 1581 would turn the clock back 40 years to an age when a police officer could not make an arrest in a domestic violence case without first getting a warrant unless he or she actually witnessed the crime. That’s an exceedingly dangerous change.
…
The other bill Republicans have proposed, HB 1608, limits judges’ ability to order the arrest of someone who has violated a domestic violence restraining order by contacting or abusing the person named in the order. It would also prevent judges from ordering defendants to surrender their weapons or block them from buying guns.
Some more fuckedupness from the party of “family values”. You know, the values where it’s ok to beat your family and possibly shoot them because RARRRRR SECOND AMENDMENT.
If domestic violence was perpetrated in the light of day in front of witnesses, we wouldn’t have a domestic violence problem in this country. It needs to be easier to arrest and press charges against abusers, not harder.
Giant leap in the wrong direction.
Are you FUCKING kidding me with this shit?
I would just love to hear the precedent for this law.

Oh what the fuck NH
I don’t understand how there is even an ounce of legitimate evidence that such a bill is a necessary or good thing....
